Solo Cup Company today announced the introduction of Bare™ by Solo® compostable plates made with sugarcane. The ivory-colored plates feature an on-trend, square design that offers a stylish alternative to traditional round single-use dinnerware. The new plates also offer consumers an environmentally preferable way to serve meals everyday or on special occasions using renewable materials that can also reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills.

Rockdale County’s water treatment facility is the best operated plant of its size in Georgia, according to the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP). GAWP has awarded Rockdale Water Resources with its coveted “Best Operated Water Plant Award” for 2008 in the category of facilities capable of treating more than 15 million gallons of water per day.

Haver Filling Systems broke ground last month on an expansion that will double the size of its current office and warehouse on Gees Mill Business Court.

German-based Haver is a manufacturer of industrial packing machines. The company moved to Conyers in 1989. The company already has a 10,000-square-foot building that houses corporate offices and a warehouse.
