Quality medical care is an essential part of a quality community and the Rockdale Medical Center provides Rockdale with a complete medical care facility. Rockdale Medical Center broke ground on February 20, 2004 on one of the most ambitious projects in the center's 48 year history, the East Tower expansion project. This second phase of the Medical Center’s expansion plan that will more than double the size of the facility. The new tower will feature a three-story addition with enhanced outpatient and inpatient services, including mother/baby, women’s services, gastroenterology, surgical and intensive care units. In addition to the enhancement to the clinical service areas the expansion includes a new two deck parking garage.

Rockdale County also has numerous assisted care facilities and senior services as well as medical practitioners in every major field of medicine.
