Workforce Training

A well-trained workforce is a key element in the successful of any industry and businesses in the Conyers Rockdale area can take advantage of a variety of training opportunities for their current and prospective employees.

Georgia's Quick Start program is nationally recognized for providing high-quality training services at no cost to new or expanding businesses in Georgia. Since 1967, Quick Start has provided customized training for hundreds of thousands of employees and for thousands of businesses and industries throughout the state.

Dekalb Technical College works closely with business and industry providing customized training and workforce development programs. Programs are available to business, industry and non-profit organizations that are seeking to increase the skill level of their existing employees. The programs are taught at company or DeKalb Technical College locations and are scheduled to compliment all shifts. 

The Georgia Labor Department provides education and training programs in Georgia, as well as sources of financial assistance for them. Although the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) does not directly operate training programs, it works closely with many partners who offer training and education programs.
